The Secretariat of the 10 Year Framework of Programmes on Sustainable Consumption and Production (10YFP) trust fund has announced call for proposals to support the shift towards SCP. Governments and not-for-profit organizations in developing countries and countries with economies in transition are invited to submit proposals in response to these calls.
The theme of the programme Sustainable Buildings and Construction (SBC).
Objectives
- Foster enabling frameworks to implement SBC policies.
- Promote Sustainable Housing, including affordable and social housing.
- Enhance Sustainability in the Building Supply Chain.
- Reduce climate impact and strengthen climate resilience of the building and construction sector.
- Promoting knowledge sharing, outreach and awareness raising.
Grants available
Grants of up to USD 500,000 from a minimum of 12 months to up to maximum of 24 months
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants may be any regional, national, local governmental institution, agency or subsidiary body; not-for-profits; associations; civil society; community based organisations; universities, scientific or technical organisation, with headquarters in developing countries and countries in transition aiming at supporting specific programmes and initiatives responding to the national and regional priorities of developing countries and countries with economies in transition.
- The Call is also open to non-partners of the 10YFP Sustainable Buildings and Construction Programme, provided that they commit to becoming partners prior to signing the grant agreement.
- Private sector organizations are not eligible to be project “applicants” and to receive funds from the 10YFP Trust Fund.

- Applicants must complete the application form (template for project proposal), including signatures of applicant available on the website.

- Evidence that National Focal Point (if he/she has been nominated) has been consulted must be attached when the applicant type is “Government”.
- Letters of support are recommended and can be added.
